Scary competitions

I was reviewing a few competitions before adding them to the site.

They looked good on the outside - win free iPhone, or $7000 entertainment systems, or $2000.

But when you read the small terms and conditions at the bottom of the ad, it said you were agreeing to sign up for a mobile subscription service that was going to charge $4.50 three times a week, for services like horoscopes or match making.

How scary that this can be in such small print at the bottom of the ad. It shows the importance of reading the terms and conditions before giving up your credit card details or phone number.

Needless to say, they were not added to the list of competitions.

Safe Competition - www.Lasoo.com.au

I have found a competition that is harmless and is simply JUST a competition.

Lasoo.com.au is a website that allows you to research what's on sale from the the major retailers, before you go shopping (retailers include Myer, Target, Big W, Toys R Us, Dick Smith etc etc). You dont seem to buy online, only research.

They are currently offering a chance to win a family trip to disneyland, $20,000 cash, or a toyota corolla - that you get to chose if you win.

There is no catch, you simply sign up (free) and go in the draw. The competition ends early August.

When you register for the site, you get to customise your settings on whether you wish to receive alerts for upcoming catalogues or offers. You can set your suburb to find sales in yoru local area. I am a huge shopper and its come in handy for the recent toy sales.

I think this site will renew your faith in competitions! www.lasoo.com.au/win
